This week we read the a story about the Titanic. The question of the week was asking us to think about, "how does technology help adventurers reach new places?" We had a lot of great discussions among the class. The Titanic was an interesting topic.
For your response this week, I would like you to blog about something you learned that you didn't know before OR respond to the question of the week. I look forward to reading your thoughtful responses.
Technology help adventurers reach new places by making things easier for adventurers. For instance, explorers that are looking for the Titanic need to go to the botttom of the ocean. And the scuba diving technology makes it easier for them to breathe underwater. So instead of going in a large submarine you can go in a smaller scuba diving gear that helps you breathe underwater an dyou can explore better. So that is my answer.

I think electric cars help adventrers reach new places because gas cost so much my mom has to pay alot of $$$$$$ to fill her tank. But with electric cars you can pay your electric bill all together so you won't have to pay gas and your eletric bill. Plus electric cars go faster and they have more milelige. so if the great caveman ruins are far just use your electric car!
ReplyDeleteTo begin with, I never learned or have gotten told about the "Titanic" until like fourth grade. I didn't know that it was 3 football fields long. It was the biggest and longest ship or thing in the world. I feel bad for the person who bragged all about it just for nothing. Thats why people say watch what your saying.The main thing i didn't know that, that was the biggest thing and bigger than living things in the world. Also, I didn't know that the interior of the "Titanic" was that big, and enough room for over a thousand people to fit in. I realize that I am very curious about the "Titanic" after all.

Techonology help adventures reach new places by making it less difficult. For example when people tried to find the Titanic they had to use a sonar to go deep in the ocean. If they didn't have Alvin or JJ then they wouldn't be able to see or find things left behind in the Titanic. That is how adventure reach new places.

To Be honest what I diddn't know is that the Titanic was the largest ship at the time period. Also is that I did not know that a boy (Willie Coutts) nearly lost his life trying to save his hat. As well has two shoes that sunk at the bottom of the ocean and they were right next to each other. Also I did not know that when the ship hit the iceberg water start gushing in. At first I thought the water start gushing out.In the book we read a book about the Titanic and on one page it says that the boat broke into TWO peices. I thought it got hit and then it just sank to the bottom of the ocean, not break into two peices. The 100 anniversary of the Titanic tragedy just passed five days ago.The Titanic was has large as two football fields. Thats long how can the captain keep up with it!

Tecnology helps adventures reach new places because tecnology is everywhere. Thats how the people in the U.S.A watch overseas and things from other countries. Thats probably because of N.A.S.A. Thats how when the Olympics is somewhere else in another country, people can watch the olympics, which everybody that is in the U.S.A votes for the U.S.A. Cars is part of tecnology also. They move, they need an engine to move apparently. Cars help adventurers reach new places also, so as boats. Tecnology is really everywhere. We need tecnology for school, sports and jobs. If we didn't have tecnology, we would still be confused.

Tecnology helps people reach new places by making things easier to do or more exciting to do. like instead of swimming down in the ocean floor you can take a submarine.Like the Titanic didnt have that many life boats but now they do or the like the life jackets wernt hard enough but now they are.thjats why tecnology makes things easier. The boat was and the ocean for 100 years.Alvin and JJ are sonars jj can fit in the boat.but alvin is to big to fit in the boat.I had watch the titanic on youtube.
